385 btw is an Ex TVR Class A, which received a No 10 boiler in 1930 and was withdrawn in 1957

Further Update on class42 alocation at PPRD January 1956

2 locos stationed 4229 and 4230

Further engines were moved to Hereford at that time from Ebbw JCT

5243 and Swindon loco 5226 for the use of thru freights for the summer of 56

to the principalitys sheds, digging out more info

were closing in on the gaps.

Jan 1959 PpRd Allocation of 56xx:

 

5625, 5638, 5645, 5659, 6634, 6636, 6675, 6685 & 6693

 

(GWJ 31, p411)

 

And from GWJ 30, p332, 6634 worked a Glascoed workmen's train on 8 Oct 1946.
